Depart Nairobi and drive around 4 hours to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch. Head out for an afternoon game drive across the open plains, with Kilimanjaro visible on clear days.

An early start to catch Kilimanjaro before the clouds roll in, tracking Amboseli's famous large-tusked elephant herds through the day, plus buffalo, giraffe and abundant birdlife around the swamps.

A final dawn game drive for the best mountain light, then breakfast, check-out, and the drive back to Nairobi.
